Besting over 40 other contestants, Adarna House storytellers Tony Yanza, Dyali Justo and Claude Despabiladeras all went home with a medal each from the recent PBBY-NBDB Salaysayan Storytelling Competition for 2008.
Kuya Tony, armed with the story Araw sa Palengke, bagged the silver in the Filipino Category, with Teacher Dyali working her magic with Apolakus to win 3rd place in the same category. Kuya Claude, meanwhile, took home the bronze in the English Category using the same book, Apolakus.
Organized by the Philippine Board on Books for Young People (PBBY) and the National Book Development Board (NBDB), Salaysayan 2008 is a project that encourages a love for reading and children's books through the celebration of the Filipino's talent for storytelling.
